Because of a mix up with Obamacare, I got an 11K tax bill. They were confident they could reduce it to only 10% of that. I had to pay $2500, plus $350 a month. THEN, after 3 months, they said because of my assets, that I should pay the full amount to the IRS. WHY did they not KNOW THIS BEFORE they took my $2500, +??? CROOKS, stay FAR AWAY!Read More

My overall experience with Wall & Associates has been a very favorable one. The one thing I learned about dealing with the IRS is patience; and Wall & Associates kept me abreast of what was going on at all times. They were able to establish fair monthly payments for me with IRS. Thank you Wall & Associates.Read More

The Good

  • Time in business
  • Client types
  • Comprehensive staff
  • Serious savings
  • Service area
  • IRS negotiations
  • Business model

Time in Business

Wall & Associates has been in business since 1992 and has helped thousands of taxpayers over the years. The combined experience of the company’s employees has helped lay a solid foundation that will benefit future clients, and its professionals have the experience and knowledge necessary to provide the appropriate assistance.

Client Types

Wall & Associates represents both individuals and businesses. Along with this, the company has experience with issues facing foreign taxpayers and estates.

Comprehensive Staff

Wall & Associates has a variety of tax professionals on staff, including but not limited to attorneys, enrolled agents, and CPAs. This allows the company to successfully deal with any issue that a client may be facing.

Serious Savings

In the past five years alone, the company has saved taxpayers approximately $100 million.

Service Area

The company is authorized to practice before taxing authorities in all 50 states, as well as the IRS.

IRS Negotiations

The professionals at Wall & Associates know what it takes to successfully communicate and negotiate with the IRS and other taxing authorities. While some companies may be intimidated by IRS offer specialists, the same does not hold true for this company. It is this approach that can be the difference between success and failure.

Business Model

All in all, Wall & Associates has the experience, knowledge, and service range necessary to provide almost anyone in need with a high level of service. Add this to a free initial consultation and the ability to set up a payment arrangement and you have a company worth consulting with.

The Bad

  • Poor customer service
  • Transparency

Poor Customer Service

Customer complaints against Wall & Associates span a variety of categories, including advertising and sales issues, billing and collection issues, delivery issues, and problems with the product or service. While the company touts its service as being top notch, several customers have posted reviews that may lead some consumers to believe otherwise.

Transparency

Wall & Associates has not disclosed pricing or minimum debt information on its corporate website. These are both important factors that may sway a potential customer’s decision, so the company’s lack of transparency can be frustrating.

A firm that has been in business as long as Wall & Associates is definitely doing something right. The issue, however, is its lack of transparency and customer service experience.

The Bottom Line

Wall & Associates’ approach makes for a clear and defined process. With the option to receive a free consultation, it is worth contacting the company. After all, it has saved many people a lot of money. What makes this company so difficult to figure out is the poor customer service experience. If this were not on the table, it would be easier for people in need to trust what they are being told.

With all this in mind, you are left to answer one very important question: should you trust Wall & Associates with such a big part of your financial life? Many people have, and according to the company’s website, it has helped them put their tax issues in the past.

The best thing you can do is contact Wall & Associates yourself, ask the questions that are on your mind, and begin to collect the necessary information. At that point, you can decide who to believe. Will you believe what the company is telling you? Or will you believe the poor reviews and ratings you have come across?

Final point: since Wall & Associates provides a mix of both good and bad, it cannot hurt to consult with our other top tax relief firms. This will give you a basis for comparison and allow you to make a more informed decision as to what the company provides and how it stacks up to the competition.

My experience with Wall & Associates has been great. Jessica S. who handled my case was wonderful. She is very professional as well as understanding and friendly. She is easily available to answer questions. If she is not immediately available, she generally returns your calls or e mails within minutes. She regularly kept me posted on the progress of my case and did not leave a stone unturned. My situation was unusual and complicated, yet she was right on top of things. It was a stressful situation, and Jessica smoothed the way for me. I will be forever grateful for her handling of my case and I would certainly recommend her to anyone who is facing tax issues.

  • Takes your existing debt and try to settle with your creditors for a lower amount. If you pay off the settled amount, your debt will be considered paid in full.
  • Negotiates with your creditors on your behalf.
  • Fee based on a percentage of your total starting debt or a percentage of the debt they save you.
  • Most settlement companies have you create a separate "escrow" account where you will make monthly contributions over a certain amount of time to contribute to your settlement. Once there is a substantial amount of funds to show your creditors, the settlement company will try to negotiate a lower amount of debt.
  • Combines all your debts and creditors into one monthly payment.
  • Allows you to pay one monthly payment to the consolidation company, instead of multiple payments to different creditors.
  • You no longer owe your original creditors; instead you pay one monthly payment to your consolidation company.
  • Consolidation companies can help negotiate lower interest rates on your debts and help lower your total debt payment in the long run. A lower interest rate will lower the amount you owe in the end.
  • Allows you to consolidate all your different debts into one personal loan that can be paid off over time.
  • Can offer borrowers a lower interest rate with a longer payback term (compared to high-interest credit cards or medical bills). This will lower the amount of money required to pay off the loan over time.
  • Personal loan debt consolidation can be an effective way to raise your credit score quickly (within 3-6 months).
  • Borrowers can receive funds from their loan within only a few days.
