Professional Tax Services Overview
Professional Tax Services was launched by Bill O’Mary, who has years of personal experience in the tax relief industry, working under one of the world’s largest tax resolution companies. Partner and COO, Ralph Havens holds over 20 years experience as a Federally Enrolled Agent. Collectively, this partnership brings debt saddled tax payers and business owner relief options through extensive experience by a company offering a full range of tax related services.
President O’Mary experience as a top three district field consultant and Havens expertise in owning and operating a tax prep franchise may offer peace of mind to consumers on the market for a tax relief company. They encourage taxpayers to take advantage of a free consultation where a thorough financial assessment will be offered in order for a professional tax counselor to determine the best approach to resolution. Benefits of the Professional Tax Services process includes:
Professional Tax Service Highlights include:
- Free consultation
- Company and pricing transparency
- Payment plans
- After hours assistance
- Future support program to stay out of debt
A step-by-step process will be implemented to halt the IRS and/or state from garnishing wages and getting liens released from homes, or levies from bank accounts. They use the IRS and State policies for the best interest of clients and also provide a future support program to ensure clients don’t ever have to face tax burden again. They do well to provide taxpayers with an array of miscellaneous tax information just to increase their knowledge base regarding the IRS and general tax issues, which is extended and reiterated in the continuing support program.
Obtaining A Quote:
Its industry standard to avoid quoting potential clients before cases are fully examine; however, we found while this company was wary to provide a quote, they were transparent when it came to their pricing structure and assess charges on a flat rate. For the most accurate quote, we recommend contacting the company directly.
This company understands that taxpayers calling in for consultations are already saddled down by debt and not everyone is able to put down a lump sum of a few thousand, and one benefit of working with this company is their ability to extend a payment plan for those under economic hardship. They don’t require accounts to be paid in full to begin working on cases, but it’s important to keep up with the payments set forth in the arrangement.
O’Mary also understands that some clients work within his hours of business or may have emergencies and concerns after-hours. Due to circumstantial events of clients, he has allowed all calls to be forwarded to his cell after typical business hours, which proves he is on a mission to deliver client satisfaction and peace of mind.
While Professional Tax Services can provide an individualized and custom experience to each client, there are also some serious limitations to consider prior to enrolling in their program. These service disadvantages include the following items:
Professional Tax Services does not hold memberships with the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA), which is a little surprising taking into consideration that the COO has been an EA for several years. It may be worthwhile to gain affiliation with this organization. No other professional memberships are held by Professional Tax Services and we’d like to see them go above and beyond to provide taxpayers peace of mind and confidence when doing their research on the company.
No Attorneys on Staff:
Another concern is their lack of tax attorney’s on staff. For cases facing litigation and prosecution, it would be beneficial to have support handy. They claim they will retain one when needed, but keep in mind the price may be far above what was initially expected.
Because this firm is rather small and has only operated for a short period of time, they may not be able to handle several cases at once, and the length of time to close each case may take longer than a company with another employee or two.
Although hesitant to give out the information, we were quoted between $1,000 and $5,000 on a $20,000 tax debt scenario.
We certainly appreciate their concern because without an extensive and detailed analysis, it’s difficult to provide an accurate quote. Each situation varies heavily, and for the most accurate quote, calling in to take advantage of the free consultation would be our best advice.
