Larson Tax Relief
Since 2005, this Colorado based business has helped numerous clients in each of the 50 states resolve tax debt. Larson Tax Relief was founded by Jack and Ron Larson and since the launch of the business, they have built a team of experienced professionals with Juris Doctor degrees, CPA’s and Enrolled Agents to deliver personal and business tax relief solutions.
Larson Tax Relief has received a lot of positive reviews around the web from former clients and can be seen on some reputable sources such as the BBB, where they have received 55 positive client experience reviews. In addition to the positive client ratings, the BBB has given them an A+ rating and only two consumer complaints have been filed and close in the past three years, proving they are capable of satisfying clients’ tax debt. Other benefits of the Larson Tax Relief service include:
Free consumer evaluations are provided by calling their toll-free number where a consultant will be available to further assess each financial situation of the caller. Senior consultants staffed by the company have several years of personal and collective experience in discovering the most suitable solution to tax issues.
Business Owner Services:
For business owners seeking tax relief, several of LTR’s team members not only have extensive experience in the business sector, but are also business owners themselves and offer explanations to help educate clients on what they can accomplish even under the most complex of cases. Team members holding J.D. degrees have helped those with minor tax debts to tax debts amounting to over two million dollars, which helps to create a safe atmosphere for clients under an extreme tax burden.
Larson Tax Relief service highlights include:
- Enrolled Agents, CPA’s and Tax Attorneys on staff
- Has a Continuing Education certification from the IRS, meaning that EAs are continually being updated on the tax code and IRS practices
- 15 day return policy on all customer fees.
- They offer payment plans
- A+ BBB rating, and have addressed all complaints received by BBB and other review sites
- In 2014, they were awarded the BBB Torch Award for Customer Service
- Represents clients in all 50 states
LTR offers clients an broad spectrum of relief options including emergency and long term relief. Several clients were able to get an Offer in Compromise that reduced their tax liability 35% or more, which is difficult to achieve due to the dynamics surrounding these plans.
Although pricing is unclear, but it seems to be the industry standard, LTR offers clients a 15-day money back guarantee on fees paid if clients are unsatisfied with their services. If, however, after 15 days clients become unsatisfied, they will refund a prorated amount, refunding any unused balance of the service fee.
While Larson Tax Relief has many positives aspects, no company is perfect. Some of our concerns include their lack of memberships and accreditations with the industry’s professional organizations. The company owner is a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA) and the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP), but the team members, or the company as a whole, do not retain these same memberships. Other limitations include:
Additionally, clients would like to see the company do more to educate consumers visiting their website by offering resources and tools to help strengthen their financial fitness. For a company with a decade of experience, not supplying these additional materials is cause for concern, as many of their competitors do well to provide information free of charge; however, enrolled clients will benefit from the team of representatives extensive knowledge.
Larson Tax Relief will not offer quotes over the phone. Prices and fees vary upon the type of service required, and are assessed on an up-front fee as an estimate, and then they keep track of their time on an hourly basis. They do not provide a one-time flat fee for their services.
Larson Tax Relief offers the following tax services:
- Installment agreements
- Offers in compromise
- Wage garnishment
- Bank levy
- Partial pay installment agreement
- Currently not collectible status
- Unfiled tax returns
- Tax liens issues
There is no minimum amount of tax debt one must hold in order to retain services with LTR. We were able to work with different tax debt settlements over the phone that would let us set up a payment plan for various amounts.

If you are unhappy with Larson, they will return all of your fees within the first fifteen days. After the first fifteen days, you are entitled to the unused portion of your service fees. This was one of the better refund policies within the industry.
We liked Larson’s refund policy. It was explained on the phone clearly. We liked that if we weren’t happy with their services, all the service fees were fully refunded within the first 15 days, and that you can also get a partial refund of your service fees after the first fifteen days.
